Wittmund Airbase
During the winter period our spotting activity was very low. We had
skipped Axalp and the WEF combat air patrols from Payerne Airbase
was also not possible for us to attend. Our hands started to shake
from the lack of shooting pictures of aircrafts. So, we decided with
Henk Tito to go to Wittmund Airbase to watch/shoot some phantoms and
Skyhawks. Here are some pixs, only the skyhawks flew in the morning
with sunny weather. After 12 o'clock the overcast was back and the
phantom alpha scramble started at 14.00hrs followed by 4 other F-4's
and 2 A-4's.
