After a 10 hour nightly drive from the Netherlands we arrived at
Base Aerienne Sion early in the morning. We did some reconnaissance
for potential photograph positions along the runway and went to
sleep. Base was already active at 07.30hrs, a couple of PC-9 took
off. Flying started at 08.15hrs with 6 F-5's and 8 F-18's. In total
4 waves were flown which is not bad for friday. Last planes were 2
F-5's which landed at 17.00hrs. After the action we went to our ski
resort hotel high in the mountains to rest for the journey back
